MBNL will require anyone working on their sites to have a Competent Person Rigging & Lifting qualification by the 1st January 2020.
This relevant for anyone actively working in rigging or wishing to undertake Heavy lifting operations. The new guidelines are designed to equip delegates with all the required skills and knowledge to safely undertake lifting operations in accordance with LOLER & PUWER regulations.
The certification provides riggers with a means of demonstrating that they have attained a professional standard in general rigging practices. It provides employers a specification to use when hiring. Individuals are issued with a certificate and an NRC ID card.
Candidates must also provide evidence of work experience as a rigging professional.
Delegates will have to demonstrate a clear understanding of Safe Working Load, Anchors, Knott’s for rigging, Complex pulley systems, safe lifting and lowering using a mechanical Hoist.
We can offer the required training to meet MBNL’s requirements within its course. Please get in touch with us.
