QNUK Level 3 Award In Paediatric First Aid (RQF)
The QNUK Level 3 Award in Paediatric First aid (RQF) is seen as the most common qualification for early years practitioners and is delivered over 2 days.
This course provides the knowledge and skills for first aiders working in early years environments. Learners will gain the knowledge, skills and understanding of paediatric first aid as outlined by the Department of Education, September 2016.
This is a qualification that indicates an individual can undertake a specific role in the workplace and that may be relied upon by employers.
This award sits in the Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF) and is regulated by Ofqual.
Course materials include a course manual and workbook for your use.
Lunch and refreshments are provided by Rescue Specialist.
The qualification is valid for 3 years.
The course will cover:
- Understanding the role and responsibilities of a paedeatric first aider
- Assessing an emergency situation
- Providing first aid for an infant or child who is unresponsive
- Bleeding wounds, scalds and burns
- Bites and stings
Delegates must be aged 16 or over and in good medical condition with a reasonable level of fitness.
Prior Qualifications Required
It is advised that learners have a minimum Level 2 in English and Maths.
All equipment will be provided by Rescue Specialist.
