QNUK Level 3 Award In Outdoor First Aid (RQF)

Description

The QNUK Level 3 Award in First aid for Highways Operatives (RQF) has been developed to meet the requirements under the Health and Safety (First Aid) regulations 1981, for Emergency First aiders.

This qualification is for those undertaking the role of a first aider in an outdoors environment.

Attendees typically include those that require an outdoor first aid qualification to meet NGB requirements. NGBS include BCU, BASI, MLTB etc.

This award sits in the Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF) and is regulated by Ofqual.

Course materials include a course manual and workbook for your use.

Lunch and refreshments are provided by Rescue Specialist.

The qualification is valid for 3 years.

Course Objectives

The course will cover:

  • Examining a casualty in an outdoor environment
  • Administering first aid to a casualty who is unresponsive
  • CPR
  • Hypothermia

Prerequisites

Delegates must be over 16 years of age and in good medical condition with a reasonable level of fitness.

Candidates under the age of 16 can complete the qualification, however, employers should not rely on those under 16 to be a lone first aider.

Prior Qualifications Required

It is advised that learners have a minimum Level 2 in English and Maths.

Equipment Required

All equipment will be provided by Rescue Specialist.
