CABWI Level 3 Award in Top Person for High Risk Confined Spaces
The CABWI Level 3 Award in Top Person for High Risk Confined Spaces allows learners to demonstrate the skills and knowledge required by those who need to act as a top person for a high risk confined entry operation as part of their job role.
The top person role within a high risk confined environment is seen as more dangerous than that of a traditional top person due to the level of risk and the possibility of further risks arising within the confined space. This top person course covers all areas of managing a team of professionals who will be working with high risk confined spaces.
The qualification is designed specifically for those who are undertaking a top person role, and achievement of this Level 3 Award does not prove that a learner is competent to enter and / or work in a confined space. The training course is designed for operatives who may need to supervise an entry into a confined space.
Course materials include a course manual and workbook for your use.
Lunch and refreshments are provided by Rescue Specialist.
The qualification is valid for 3 years.
The course will cover:
- Preparing to work safely
- Entering and exiting the confined space
- Preparing and using appropriate respiratory equipment
- Using equipment and tools safely
- Following procedures
