Arqiva Radio Frequency (RF) Awareness
Radio Frequency radiation (RF) is electromagnetic radiation, fields and waves generated for wireless broadcasting or communication by sending current through an antenna.
This 1-day classroom-based course in Radio Frequency (RF) Awareness has been developed in line with the Arqiva approved syllabus for those working with equipment which propagates radio frequencies or those who visit sites where such equipment is present.
The training will provide delegates with an understanding of the hazards associated with working in areas where radio frequency (RF) is present, and the measures that should be taken to ensure their safety.
Course materials include a course manual and workbook for your use.
Lunch and refreshments are provided by Rescue Specialist.
The qualification is valid for 3 years.
The course will cover:
- Sources of RF radiation
- Health implications of RF exposure
- Risks associated with working in RF fields
- Safety standards
- Control measures and safe working procedures
