AoFAQ Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF)
This course is designed for anyone looking to become an accredited First Aider in the workplace and covers a wider range of subjects that the Emergency First Aid at Work qualification.
This provides learners with skills and knowledge to deal with first aid situations in low risk workplace environments for the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations (NI) 1982 purposes.
This award sits in the Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF) and is regulated by Ofqual.
As this is a Regulated Qualification, an employer who obtains training from an AoFAQ Approved Centre is not required to carry out any due diligence on the training provider in order to ensure the suitability of the training (HSE statement). Also approved by the Association of First Aiders.
Course materials include a course manual and workbook for your use.
Lunch and refreshments are provided by Rescue Specialist.
The qualification is valid for 3 years.
The course will cover:
- Roles and responsibilities of the first aider
- How to assess an incident
- First aid skills in CPR
- Use of an AED
- Providing first aid to a casualty who is choking
- Dealing with external bleeding and hypovolaemic shock
Delegates must be over 16 years of age and in good medical condition with a reasonable level of fitness.
Candidates under the age of 16 can complete the qualification, however, employers should not rely on those under 16 to be a lone first aider.
Prior Qualifications Required
All equipment will be provided by Rescue Specialist.
