AoFAQ Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work Refresher (RQF)
A 2-day requalification course for those who have already completed the First Aid at Work Qualification.
This award sits in the Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF) and is regulated by Ofqual.
The qualification is valid for 3 years.
The course will cover:
- Roles and responsibilities of the first aider
- How to assess an incident
- First aid skills in CPR
- Use of an AED
- Providing first aid to a casualty who is choking
- Dealing with external bleeding and hypovolaemic shock
Course materials include a course manual and workbook for your use.
Lunch and refreshments are provided by Rescue Specialist.
Delegates must be over 16 years of age and in good medical condition with a reasonable level of fitness.
Candidates under the age of 16 can complete the qualification, however, employers should not rely on those under 16 to be a lone first aider.
Prior Qualifications Required
The learner must hold a current first aid at work certificate.
The requalification training should be attended within 30 days of their previous certificate having expired.
All equipment will be provided by Rescue Specialist.
