AoFAQ Level 2 National Award in the Principles and Practices of Infection Prevention and Control
The AoFAQ Level 2 National Award in the Principles and Practices of Infection Prevention and Control qualification is designed to provider learners with the underpinning knowledge to contribute to the prevention of infection and disease in the healthcare setting.
The qualification is ideal for new starters and experienced staff requiring a refresher alike and is designed for the health and social care sectors including private ambulance services, nursing homes, care homes, domiciliary care providers, nurseries, custody suites, doctor’s surgeries, dental surgeries etc.
Course materials include a course manual and workbook for your use.
Lunch and refreshments are provided by Rescue Specialist.
The qualification is valid for 3 years.
The course will cover:
- Micro-organisms which can cause an infection and spread disease in the workplace
- Roles and responsibilities in the workplace for preventing infection including legal obligations
- Procedures to prevent and control the spread of an infection in the workplace
- Application of infection control precautions to minimise the risk of infection in a day to day activities
Prior Qualifications Required
All equipment will be provided by Rescue Specialist.
